Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Congratulations, we’ve made it to Summer Break!  We have had many successful achievements this year.  I take great pride in our collective accomplishments and am so very hopeful about the future!  As we prepare to start summer vacation I would like to share a few program reminders in regards to next school year.

• Registration will occur in early August. For more information refer to the district website or call the Registration Information Hotline at (708) 367-8390 for additional information.  All returning students are required to go through the registration process.

• IMPORTANT: Once you have registered your student please contact the Monee Education Center at (708) 367-2660 to schedule an intake appointment.  All returning MEC students are required to have an intake meeting prior to the first day of school.  Remember to register first and then call MEC to schedule your intake appointment.

• Our theme for the 2009-2010 school year was: Respect – Accountability- Success.  Respect for ourselves and others, Accountability for our actions, leading to Success in our endeavors.  Parents & guardians please continue to review these points with your students.  We depend and count on our families for support and reinforcement of the programs policies.

• The MEC offices will be closed July 1-31.  Regular office hours will resume August 2, 2010.  More information on the 2010-2011 school year will be shared with you in the coming weeks.  Until then, enjoy your summer break!
